These 4 photos were taken at 7:50 am on Tuesday, Feb 12th, 2002. - south west of Houston, Texas. I think this is a Selasphorus hummingbird, possibly an Allen's or Broad-tailed. The back and head are green, but I haven't been able to get a good back view photo, yet. Watch this space for updates. |

These 2 photographs were taken at 3pm, Wed, Feb 13th. I think its the same bird as above, but the sun was at a different angle, causing the look of less rufous on the flanks. He does have a dark spot in the same position in the center of the breast. |
